According to The Levity Effect benefits of practicing what this book preaches are genuine, lighthearted employees who want to retain employment with the company and become evangelists even long after they may have left your company. Now the book may not have said this exactly, but even the first chapter is all inspiring and full of intrigue (for a self-help book).
 

This book includes BIG NAME examples from Boeing, Nike, KPMG, Yamaha, Enterprise, Zappos to capture and display what happens when you put The Levity Effect into action in a real business. I love that they use research and case studies to highlight their theories rather then just pointing out opinions about how traditional business thinking needs to change. 

 

The Levity Effect is one of those engaging books that offers you a sort of self help on engaging your colleagues or clients to achieve a successful presentation, proposal and career (especially if you're new to the office). I highly recommend this book to anyone looking to lighten the mood or if you're the type of person who wants to also continue improving your positive character.

Desaraev.com went live two days ago. It's a simple website with a matching art blog, galleries, a store to buy art related accessories, purchase prints, or commission your own custom artwork. The basic premise is if you have a particular interior design, bedroom decor, pillow, or other set of colors and patterns and you would like a piece of fine art to match your beautiful home then you can commission your own original one of a kind art piece.

Search Engines, bots, and Websites Explained in One Easy Analogy

Search indexes or search engines are actually companies, like Google the largest and most popular search engine, that use software called spiders or bots to crawl web pages and index the information about them. The bots are run off of very complex mathematical algorithms that make up a calculation from a complicated and proprietary formula.

So lets break that down into an analogy that everyone can understand, shall we? Imagine that Google is your local library, only much bigger. The robots would be librarians, and the algorithm would be like the dewy decimal system, which would make your website a book. Your website may have a lot of wonderful content, but if it has 50 subjects instead of being optimized for a very specific theme it may be hard for the bots to index your website for the keywords you were hoping for. So a search engine specialist is the one who determines who would read your books, what keywords they would tend to type in to find you and your services, and then does a series of linking building and keyword implementation to make the bots read and index your book properly.
