1If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. 3If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to the flames, but have not love, I gain nothing. --Corinthians
You can be the smartest or most powerful person in the world but without empathy and friendship you are empty. You can pretend to be giving but if you are evil in every other way or give and then resent the person you where nice to, was it a kind gesture? It is hard to be around people, to be genuinely empathetic or is it easy and you are just stubborn?
Evaluate your goals. You know GOALS, the things I've been telling you to set for about 2 months now. Are your goals shallow or do they have a greater meaning? Money may seem shallow unless it has meaning. Do you want it just so you can say you are rich, buy toys or to be flamboyant? Do you want a certain salary so you can pay the bills, feed your family, pay off your house, get health insurance, pay for cancer, start a foundation or help the greater good? I'm not going to judge you either way, I'm simply asking you to evaluate the person you want to be, the person you want your friends and children to see in you.
4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. --Corinthians
8Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. 9For we know in part and we prophesy in part, 10but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears. --Corinthians
